What is a disc valve?

1.Disc structure foundation

The overall design is disc-shaped and may be made of metal or engineering plastic. The disc may have evenly distributed ventilation holes, adjustable blades or louver structures. The appearance is simple and easy to install at circular ventilation openings (such as the end of a circular pipe on the ceiling or wall).

2.Air valve adjustment function

It integrates an airflow control component similar to an air valve. For example, by rotating the disk and adjusting the angle or opening and closing of the internal blades, the air volume can be controlled (such as increasing/decreasing the ventilation volume) or turned on and off (completely closing the airflow). Similar to a damper with an adjustment function, the air supply intensity can be flexibly adjusted according to demand.

3.The core role of diffusers

The perforated design or blade guides on the disk disperse the concentrated airflow in the duct into multi-directional, low-speed airflow, avoiding the localized strong wind caused by direct blowing, achieving even air distribution in the space, and improving ventilation or air conditioning effects (such as comfortable air supply during cooling/heating).

4.Application Scenario

  • Suitable for small spaces that require both "air volume regulation" and "uniform air supply", such as local ventilation openings in home bedrooms, independent workstations in offices, or auxiliary heat dissipation ventilation devices near industrial equipment.
  • Compared to ordinary grilles (ventilation only, no adjustment) or complex diffusers (weak adjustment function), it focuses more on "compact design + easy adjustment", suitable for scenarios with requirements on installation space and ease of operation.
